Builders asked to provide homes to buyers soon

Noida: In an attempt to provide relief to thousands of homebuyers who are running from pillar to post in order to get their homes, UP's Principal Secretary Housing Mukul Singhal, CCEO of Noida authority , ACEO, DCEO and other senior authority officials held a meeting with the builders in Noida Authority on Tuesday.
The builders were told about the guidelines which are mandatory to be followed under RERA and the Principal Secretary directed the builders to provide homes to buyers as soon as possible as they have suffering several hardships over past many years.
"The meeting has been called upon keeping in mind the number of complaints received on the Up-RERA website, majority of which are from Noida and Greater Noida region. A standard operating procedure has been formed to fix up these complaints. The procedure to resolve all the complaints has been started from November 13" said Mukul Singhal, Principal Secretary Housing.
A major problem faced by homebuyers is the delay in possession of flats and failure of realtors to provide promised amenities.
"We have directed the builders to complete the construction work at the earliest or face strict actions. The procedure of imposing fines or cancellation of their allotment will be imposed on the violators" added Singhal.
Singhal further stated that the needful changes that are to be brought upon in the UP-RERA law are under way and are expected to be on the grounds soon.
