Brother of police official looted at gunpoint near Nizamuddin flyover

New Delhi: A 52-year-old businessman had a horrific time nearbout Nizamuddin flyover on Monday morning when two assailants, one of them carrying arm, looted of his money.

The victim is the brother of 1984 batch IPS officer currently posted at Director General (DG) rank in Himachal Pradesh. The victim, identified as Umesh Goyal, lives in East Delhi area. Revealing the incident, Goyal stated that around 11:30 am he was going towards New Friends Colony and was getting down from flyover which connects Golf Link road.

"Nearbout of Nizamuddin flyover two men in scooty intercepted his car and one of them opened the door and sat inside the vehicle," said Umesh.

He said that the accused said "Hum Haryana ke gunde hain" and whipped out a pistol and told him to give money and his gold ring.

"The other accused was standing near car door. They took Rs 30,000 and gold ring," the victim said.

He further said that the police was alerted about the incident. SHO ranged him claiming that FIR lodged in the case.

The victim is the brother of IPS officer Somesh Goyal. "My brother is currently holding post of Director General (Prisons) of Himachal Pradesh," said Umesh.
