Boy dies in scuffle with classmates in New Usmanpur

NEW DELHI: In a clash between two rival student groups, a Class IX student died on Wednesday after he was attacked by a blunt object in New Usmanpur area by another student of the same school.
Police sources claimed that they have apprehended the accused student in this regard, who was reportedly fighting with the victim over becoming the "most powerful" student of their class.
A senior investigating officer told Millennium Post that the incident came to light on Wednesday evening after the school closed.
Both the children first had a minor argument, which soon turned into a full-blown fistfight, and ended in the death of one of the minors.
A PCR call was made and police immediately reached the spot.
"The scuffle happened between two groups of Class IX students. During the argument, the deceased was standing near one of his classmates, who accused the victim of provoking everyone in the group. Meanwhile, one of the other classmates stabbed the victim with a blunt object," officials said.
The victim was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but was declared brought dead.
The deceased boys had been living with his parents in New Usmanpur area.
