Body of 17-yr-old found on railway tracks in Gurugram

NEW DELHI: The body of a Class XII student, who had been reported missing couple of days earlier from RK Puram in south west Delhi, was found on railway tracks in Gururgram, police on Thursday said.
Police are yet to determine the circumstances that led to the death of Diwakar, a resident of RK Puram.
On Tuesday, the 17-year-old left for school from his residence, but failed to return home since.
His family had first enquired with his friends and subsequently filed a missing persons complaint at RK Puram police station.
"On Wednesday night, the family was informed by Gurugram Police about a body being found on the railway tracks in Sector-9 in Gurugram. When the family members reached the spot, they identified the body as that of Diwakar," a Delhi Police officer said.
Diwakar's mouth was found cut in two pieces, and his mouth stuffed with a white handkerchief, said police.
As per preliminary investigation, cops suspect it to be a case of suicide as school principal had earlier called his parents to complain about some mischief.
Sources claimed that this might have had a negative effect on Diwakar, forcing him to take the extreme step out of fear.
However, cops are waiting for the post-mortem report to reach a definite conclusion.
"We are probing the case from all possible angles and also taking help of Gurugram Police. No suicide note has been recovered from the spot. We are waiting for the post-mortem report," Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) Milind Mahadeo Dumbere said.
Police are also examining CCTV footage of all possible roads that Diwakar could have travelled by in Delhi and Gurugram to ascertain how he reached Gurugram.
