Blue Line Metro isrupted for 90 minutes

New Delhi: Hundred of commuters of Delhi Metro on the Blue Line faced trouble on Thursday. The train services were stuck for over 90 minutes due to technical snag in the overhead electrification (OHE) between Karol Bagh and R K Ashram Stations. The snag was reported in the contact wire of the OHE at 2:05 pm, affecting train services on the 50 Km long line, the DMRC said in a statement. The services were restored at 3:35 pm, it added.
According to the Delhi Metro official, the problem occurred in Blue line (line 3) Karol Bagh and R K Ashram, which is the busiest line of the Metro network in the national Capital, as a result, train services were managed in three loops on line-3, on Barakhamba-Noida/Vaishali and Karol bagh- Dwarka-21 section. Single line services between Karol Bagh and Barakhamba Road through down line till actual cause of OHE issue on affected UP line section is identified and later addressed by technical team.
