BJP seeks LG's intervention over cut in city govt funding

Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta along with a delegation of BJP MLAs met L-G Anil Baijal to seek his immediate intervention in the Delhi Government's stoppage of funding to 28 colleges of Delhi University. Gupta, after the meeting, said that the L-G ordered the Delhi government to submit a report at the earliest.

"The L-G assured that he will examine the matter in depth and take appropriate action. Starvation of fund would make it impossible to run colleges. It would not be possible to pay salaries to teaching and non teaching staff and adversely affect day to day functioning of colleges,"

said Gupta.

Gupta criticised Sisodia for his comments that DU colleges are not finalizing the names of Governing Body members because they want to continue their irregularities and corruption.
