Bizman shot at, robbed in Malviya Nagar: No headway yet

NEW DELHI: The attackers who shot at Kamaljeet Singh Sethi – the victim in Tuesday's shootout-cum-robbery in Malviya Nagar – had been following him for a long time, police sources have said.
On Tuesday, Sethi was shot at by an armed assailant who fled with Rs 13 lakh near a bank in Malviya Nagar.
During investigation, police said the assailants had been following Sethi througout the day.
"We have found these details through CCTV footage and our investigation," said a police source.
A senior police official claimed that the role of an insider in the case can also not be ruled out.
The victim's activities in the days leading up to the shootout are being looked into, in addition to his relatives being quetionsed.
Sources added that several teams have been monitoring the case.
A dossier of criminals who have been active in Malviya Nagar and have same the modus operandi is being looked into.
The Special Cell and Crime Branch of Delhi Police have also been keeping a tab on the incident.
Police said the incident was reported on Tuesday at 10 am, when the victim was going to a bank in Malviya Nagar.
When he came out of the car, a masked man came from behind and tried to snatch Sethi's bag full of money.
After Sethi refused to let the bag go and began crying for help, the yet-to-be-identified accused – who was carrying the gun – shot Sethi and ran away with the bag.
