Biker dies as speeding car hits him, woman arrested

NEW DELHI: A 53-year-old man died in a fatal road accident at NH-8 on Thursday afternoon. The deceased biker has been identified as Narinder Kumar. He was hit by a speeding Cruze car at around 1 pm. The impact of the accident was so much that even the car was badly damaged in the accident. Soon, the police along with locals shifted the man to the hospital who received serious injuries. The cats ambulance took Narinder to the hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

The reason for the accident is still not known. Police said that the Vasant Kunj South police is investigating the case where an FIR under section 279 and 304 A has been registered.

Police said that the car was over-speeding and it hit the biker Narinder Kumar who was going to his office in Gurugram where he worked in an export house. He was a resident of Uttam Nagar and was coming from his home when the accident happened. His body has been sent for postmortem. "The driver of the car a woman namely Neha, 30, has been apprehended and she also got some injury in her hand in this incident. Legal action is being taken," said DCP South West Devender Arya. The police are trying to verify the cause of the accident and is taking the statement of the woman. She has also been given first aid.
