Betting racket busted, three men arrested

NEW DELHI: Rohini Police has busted a gang involved in running online betting on cricket matches and arrested three persons.
A tip-off was received at Rohini police station about an illegal online cricket 'satta' is being run at Sector-8, Rohini, by one Sanjay and his associates on a Bangladesh Premier League T20 match.
After verifying the tip, a raid was conducted at the spot and three persons, namely Jai Prakash, Shekhar Aggarwal and Sanjay Garg were arrested.
"During interrogation, it was revealed that Garg and his associates had started the racket some time ago. During search, 14 mobile phones, a briefcase containing 10 more mobile phones connected with each other through electronic circuit, four Dell laptops, six notebooks, a ledger with details of transaction, two laptop chargers, three mobile chargers and two pens were recovered," said DCP (Rohini) Rishi Pal.
