Baby stable; kin demand doctors' arrest

New Delhi: The condition of the baby boy who was declared dead earlier by Max Hospital is said to be stable now. Though the boy is still on ventilator, the family says that he has shown signs of improvement since the day he was admitted to a private hospital in Pitampura.
"The baby is showing signs of recovery and is better than when we brought him to the hospital. We hope that the he will recover fast. His mother Varsha is also keen to see him," said Surjeet, brother of Varsha's father, who has come from Punjab hearing the news that has shaken up the nation.
The family staged a protest outside Max Hospital and is demanding action against the doctors who declared both the babies dead on Thursday. Shockingly, one started movement just before burial.
"How can doctors be so careless? We demand the immediate arrest of the concerned doctor who had declared our live baby dead. Also, strict action must be taken against the hospital?" said Deepak, the baby's uncle.
