Auto driver tries to run over woman in Gurugram

Gurugram: An auto driver tried to run over a 27-year-old woman professional on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred after the driver left the woman mid-way and was asked by the victim to leave her to the required destination after which he lost his temper. He also dragged the victim few metres so that her injuries can be aggravated. The victim works in a private firm in Sohna road and had hired a shared auto.

Escaping the traumatic experience, the woman called the police women helpline number of 1091 and was admitted to the private hospital. She was discharged soon after the treatment. She filed a comprehensive complaint on the matter after receiving encouragement from her family. The police have begun to look out for the auto driver.

"It was a very difficult moment for me. The driver tried to leave me mid-way after I was the lone passenger in his vehicle. When I refused to get out, he started abusing me. Later he lost his cool and tried running his auto over me," the woman said.
