Authorities to conduct audit of all housing projects

Noida/Greater Noida: Following the directions from the state government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the three authorities across the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida will soon conduct audit of all the ongoing residential housing projects.
The move is expected to bring a respite to the homebuyers who have been complaining about the incomplete projects and the lack of facilities since long.
Home buyers of Noida and Greater Noida have been going through a long struggle to take the possession of their flats.
They had been demanding the authorities to look into the progress of the under construction builder's projects and take actions against those who have failed to provide the possession of flats within promised time.
The buyers have also complained that some builders have let them take the possession of their flats without developing the basic facilities and without obtaining the completion certificate from the authority.
In the wake of which, the chief secretary Rajiv Kumar held a meeting in Lucknow with the senior officials of the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA).
The meeting was called to discuss the high pendency of flats which buyers have booked years ago.
In the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed the officials of all the three authorities to start audit of all the ongoing housing projects across the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida to protest the interest of lakhs of homebuyers.
Following which the CEOs of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority will meet various real estate companies.
