Audit report of Ggn private schools to be soon released

The district administration's audit report conducted on certain private schools is expected to be out next week and will bring a major relief to thousands of parents who have been protesting for months regarding the exorbitant fee hike by certain private schools in the city.
The relentless protest by the parents had resulted in the formation of fee and fund regulation committee (FFRC).
The FFRC had directed over 50 private schools to submit the Form-6 so that it can be ascertained of the fees charges and cost incurred by them.
Mentioning of transparency, the Divisional Commissioner said: "All schools that will be found of overcharging parents will be ordered to refund the fee or else strict action will be taken against such schools. Strict directions have already been given to the school management to abide by the Haryana School Education Rules, 2003."
Various schools on pretext of enhancement of facilities and implementation of seventh pay commission had increased their school fees.
"We really hope that the public agencies really rein in these schools because the lack of action by the authorities has resulted in these schools now running an education mafia where the middle class parents are financially exploited," said Mahima Yadav one of the aggrieved parents.
