Amul dairy manager found murdered
Ghaziabad: A 40-year-old manager with Amul milk dairy was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Indirapuram area of Ghaziabad on Wednesday afternoon. Police officials said that the body was found at dairy's godown and the hands and legs of deceased were tied with clothes.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Jagdeep Kumar, a native of Meerut.
Cops said that around 3 pm on Wednesday, two persons on a milk van came to the godown and found Jagdeep lying on the floor with his hands and legs tied with clothes and ropes. They immediately alerted the dairy owner and police were informed.
Sandeep Kumar Singh, Station House Officer of Indirapuram police station said that Jagdeep could have been strangled to death.
"The dairy owner told police that Jagdeep used to sleep at the godown and all the other staffers leave for their home by 9 pm daily. Kumar's body was found on his bed while police found two bottles of whiskey and some plastic glass from the spot. We suspect that the criminals were known to Jagdeep and all of them first had drinks together before committing the crime," said Singh. Police suspect that Jagdeep was killed over personal enmity or a scuffle might have broken out between them while having drinks.
"Upon looking into the CCTV footage of the nearby area, we spotted two men coming towards the godown around 11.30 pm with their faces covered. Moreover, nearly Rs 3 lakhs of cash and other valuables items which were present in the godown were not found missing but deceased's mobile phone has not been recovered from the spot," added Singh.
