Amity university student dies in road accident
Noida: A 21-year-old female student of Amity University in sector 126 of Noida was killed after the auto rickshaw she was travelling got hit by a speeding bus at Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
Police said that the incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon and three persons were injured in the incident who were rushed to Jaypee hospital where the woman succumbed to injuries during treatment.
According to police, the incident occurred around 12:30 pm on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Khushi Agarwal, a native Firozabad.
"Passerby informed police about the incident following which a police team rushed to the spot. It came to light that a speeding bus had hit the auto rickshaw near Amity University in sector 126."
"The three students travelling in the auto rickshaw were critically injured and were rushed to Jaypee hospital where one of the three students identified as Khushi succumbed to injuries while the others are still getting treatment at the hospital" said Uday Pratap Singh, Station House officer, sector-39 police station.
Police said that the bus involved in the accident has been seized while the driver of the bus is absconding.
"Police have seized the bus involved in the incident while the body of deceased was handed over to the family after getting the post mortem done.
"We are still waiting for a complaint to lodge a case while further investigations as underway. Police is trying to gather details of the bus driver and he will be nabbed soon" added Singh.
