Amar Colony traders thank Manoj Tiwari for stopping sealing drive

New Delhi: Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday met with the leadership of the Amar Colony Market Association, which thanked him for the Central Government's intervention in the recent attempt to seal properties in the area. However, Tiwari, addressing the media, credited Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri for the intervention. The North-East Delhi MP said that the Central Government has always worked to uphold orders of the Supreme Court and since the Amar Colony area is protected under the Special Provisions Act of 2006, it was merely the govt's duty to intervene.
