Alliance is need of hour: AAP Haryana head Naveen Jaihind

Gurugram: At a press conference in Gurugram on Friday, AAP Haryana president Naveen Jaihind said party's mind & heart are open for an alliance with Congress and Jannayak Janta Party (JJP). He also said that BJP is harmful to both the country and the state and saving the country from the duo of Amit Shah and Narendra Modi should be the top priority of the voters. Though Jaihind did not disclose any specific dates he said that the list of candidates will be declared soon.

It is widely expected that AAP that has a reasonably strong presence in Gurugram urban areas will be given the preference to contest from the Gurugram Lok Sabha seat. Interestingly Gurugram with over two million registered voters in the largest seat in the Haryana state.

Proximity to the national capital has resulted in the party also has a sizeable presence in Gurugram. Some of the strong leaders from the city that are affiliated to AAP include RS Rathee who is an MCG councillor and Nisha Singh.

Some of the issues that are being raised by the party towards the development of the city include ensuring better sanitation and cleanliness, replenishing the ground water table and improving the erratic power supply. In the past, the party has raised several issues that are plaguing the city and has not shied away in taking on the government directly on several of its policies in the city.
