AIIMS doctor jumps to death in South Delhi
New Delhi: A 34-year-old AIIMS doctor allegedly jumped to death from an apartment in Gautam Nagar area in South Delhi on Tuesday night.
Police claimed that he had picked up quarrel with his wife. The investigating agency got an information regarding quarrel from flat in Gautam Nagar on December 25, at about 11:29 pm. Police rushed to the spot.
The victim, identified as Manish Sharma, was shifted to AIIMS Trauma Centre by his friends and neighbour. "Enquiry conducted at the spot revealed that the injured Manish Sharma, who was SR in AIIMS and was preparing for DM at AIIMS, got married to a woman doctor six months back. On that day Sharma had picked up quarrel with his wife on trivial issues and had taken some pills and hard drinks," said DCP (South) Vijay Kumar.
He further stated that at the time of the incident, Manish was alone in his apartment at fourth floor when he jumped from the balcony. He was declared brought Dead at AIIMS Trauma Centre.
