AHTU reunites 138 missing children with their families

New Delhi: The Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of North East Delhi Police more than 130 missing children including six divyang with their families. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East) Atul Thakur stated that the missing children hailed from various states including Bihar, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi.

"The Anti Human Trafficking Unit of North East District has reunited 101 missing children with their families in the year 2018 and 37 missing children in 2019 till date," said DCP Thakur.

On Thursday, Commissioner of Police Amulya Patnaik has felicitated the missing children and the AHTU team.

Further, Sub Inspector Rajender Singh has also been awarded Asadharan Karya Puraskaar for his efforts in reuniting the missing children. The AHTU visited various shelter homes/Juvenile Homes of Delhi and NCR. The traced children were from the age 5 years to 18 years (Male and Female) and hailed from various states including UP, Haryana, Bihar and Delhi.
