After feud with wife, man kills 1-yr-old daughter

Noida: A one-year-old girl was allegedly killed by her father in Garhi Chaukhandi village under phase-III area of Noida on Wednesday evening. Police said that the drunk accused dashed child on the floor during a feud with his wife.

According to police, victim identified as Ishika lived with her parents, Gudiya and Pankaj, and her seven-year-old older sister at a rented house of the village. As per complaint filed by victim's mother, the incident occurred in the evening of January 30.

"Pankaj was under the influence of alcohol when he came home. Gudiya was feeding her daughter while Pankaj started assaulting her and took his daughter from her lap and started hitting her head on the floor. As the child fell unconscious, Pankaj left home while the family informed police and took the victim to Ram Manohar Lohia hospital in Delhi where she died at 4 am on Thursday during treatment" read the complaint.
