AAP condemns Dalit atrocities in Maharashtra

NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi party leaders condemned the Dalit atrocity in Maharashtra and showed the protest in the national capital on Thursday.
The party members in the leadership of the minority cell chief Rajendra Pal Gautam showed the protest in front of the Maharashtra Bhawan.
"We condemn the atrocities on the lower castes in Maharashtra and we want the government to take actions against the criminals," said Gautam.
The leader slammed the BJP government in the centre and Maharashtra to not protect the Dalits. "In the past years there is an increase in these atrocities and it is a complete failure of the BJP," he said.
The leader said that for decades Dalits have been celebrating the victory of the Battle of Bhima Koregaon, that was fought on January 1, 1818, but this year they were opposed by 'right wing' groups. The fault line between Marathas and Dalits are once again exposed.
