AAP announces first list of candidates for Gzb civic polls

Ghaziabad: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its first list of 37 candidates out of 100 to be elected in the Ghaziabad municipal election which will be conducted in November, along with its party manifesto.
However, the state election commission is yet to announce the schedule for elections to be held next month.
The party has released its manifesto promising Delhi –like facilities in the city if they get elected to power.
The facilities include clean water supply, reduced electricity bills, lashing of house tax, door-to-door pick-up of garbage and a better education system at all government schools.
"We have decided to conquest as the other parties Bharatiya Janata Party, the Samajwadi Party, the Bahujan Samaj Party and the Congress are involved in pandemic corruption to drain off public money," said Sachin Sharma, district convenor, Aam Aadmi Party. Out of the names of 37 candidates, the list includes 12 women candidates.
The names of 20 candidates have been announced to contest the Ghaziabad municipal elections while 11 names have been proposed to contest the elections from Loni Municipal Corporation. Apart from these, four candidates have been announced on Khoda seats and two names have been released for the Modi Nagar seats.
"All the candidates have been selected on the basis of their clean background and crime-free record," said Sharma.
