75-year-old woman who lost her way reunited with family
NEW DELHI: Days after Delhi police PCR reunited 3 children with their parents in Delhi, a 75-year-old woman was reunited with her family in Madipur by the alert PCR staff. The PCR staff spotted a 70-75 years old lady sitting near Fire Station on GT Road Shahdra.
The PCR staff approached her and inquired if she needed any assistance. During the enquiry, the woman identified as Sarla informed that she had left her Madipur residence by bus to meet her nephew Sunil living in Shahdara, Delhi. While changing buses she got confused and lost her way.
She could neither remember the address nor phone numbers of her nephew and even forget that of her residence in Madipur.
"Seeing her plight the PCR MPV staff, immediately volunteered to help her and after informing control room took her to Shahdra. After some concerted efforts by PCR MPV staff and local police, her family members were traced in Madipur. Finally, the old lady in distress was handed over to her son Rameshwar a resident of Madipur village, Delhi," said a senior police officer.
The MPV staff displayed a commendable sense of duty and presence of mind and helped an aged woman in distress to reunite with her family.
