7-year-old gang-raped, DCW chief visits hospital to meet victim

New Delhi: A minor girl was gang-raped in Outer Delhi's Kanjhawala area, claimed Delhi Commission of Women. The DCW chief visited the hospital to meet the victim. According to DCW, the incident was reported in Outer Delhi's Kanjhawala area and the incident took place on Saturday. After the incident, the victim was admitted to a hospital.
Delhi Commission for Women chairperson Swati Jai Hind went to the hospital where she met the victim. Later in a series of tweets, she stated that "In hospital. Visited 7-year-old gang-rape survivor. She underwent a serious operation. Comp heartbroken. Fed up of child rapes in capital!" whereas the other tweet claimed that "1.5 year old girl is still recuperating from the trauma of rape and surgery. Now a 7 year old brutally gang raped. What's wrong with Delhi?" "Haven't slept properly since I saw 1.5 year old rape survivor. Her eyes haunt me. Nw 7 yr old girl's eyes will haunt! Who will ans dere ques?," tweeted DCW chief. The concerned DCP and the SHO did not pick the call. The accused are the two persons of the area.
Earlier, in a brutal case, an 18-month-old girl was raped by a 33-year-old man in Outer Delhi's Aman Vihar. The police later arrested the accused who has been identified as Rakesh. The police said that Rakesh is a neighbour of the girl.
