64-year-old man stabbed to death in Bawana

New Delhi: A 64-year-old man was killed after he was found with multiple stab injuries in Rohini district's Bawana area on Sunday.
Police suspect personal enmity to be the reason behind the death and are yet to make any arrest.
According to police, the incident came to light in the morning when they received a PCR call after which they rushed to the spot.
The victim, identified as Jayram, who lived with his family in Bawana, was sent to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Police said that the incident took place when the deceased was returning from crematorium ground as some person known to him had died recently.
"When he was returning the suspect attacked him with the blunt object. After injuring him he fled the spot," said a police official, adding after the incident, the victim was thrown in the bushes nearby road when a passerby identified him and made a police call and the family was informed.
Police said that the deceased worked as a contractual employee in MCD. "We are probing the case from all angles including personal enmity," said a police official.
A case has been registered in Bawana Police Station. According to the family, he was a helpful man and never indulged in arguments.
