55-year-old held for molesting 5-year-old girl

Greater Noida: The Gautam Buddh Nagar police on Tuesday morning arrested a 55-year-old man for allegedly molesting a five-year-old girl from Khatana village of Jarcha in Greater Noida.
According to police, the accused identified as Naveen Sharma (55), a farmer based in Khatana village, was arrested after a complaint against him was filed by the girl's father. In the complaint, the victim's father said that the accused lured the girl with a candy and allegedly molested her in the farm on Monday. "We received a complaint from the girl's father who stated that the incident took place at around 4 pm when their daughter was playing in the village. Sharma who knew the kid lured her with a candy," said Shalendra Pratap Singh, SHO of Jarcha police station.
Police have booked Sharma under sections 354(Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 354 (A) of the IPC for sexual harassment and section 7/8 of the POCSO act.
