52-yr-old CA held for killing wife

Greater Noida: Gautam Buddh Nagar police, on Wednesday, arrested a 52-year-old chartered accountant (CA) who was found accused of strangling his 47-year-old wife to death in their apartment at a high rise residential society in Sector 151 of Noida.

According to police, the arrested accused Jaiveer Singh killed his wife Kusum on April 15 at JP Aman society in sector 151. Victim's brother informed police, a day after the crime, when the accused was taking the body for cremation to Bulandshahr. "Police acted upon the complaint and immediately contacted the local police, following which the cremation was stopped and the body was sent for post mortem. The accused had claimed that his wife had committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling fan inside bedroom but the autopsy reports revealed death due to strangulation. We have arrested the accused on Wednesday from Bulandshahr and he has been sent to jail after producing before the court," Arvind Pathak, Station House officer of Knowledge Park police station in Greater Noida told Millennium Post. Meanwhile, victim's brother Mahaveer Rausa alleged that accused Jaiveer had illicit relationship with some other woman since marriage.

"Jaiveer has illicit relationship with some other woman and my sister was also aware of that. She was never happy with him but only lived for the sake of children," said Mahaveer.

Reports said that at the time of crime incident, the couple's 24-year-old son and 20-year-old daughter were also present in the flat.
