400 Delhi girls trained in Israeli Military combat technique

New Delhi: In a move to ensure women safety and empowered them, around 400 Delhi girls were trained in Israeli Millitary combat technique 'Krav Maga" by Delhi police to make sure they take on any threats on Delhi streets effectively.

A self defense training camp was organized by Badarpur police station of South-east district on Tuesday under 'Sashakti' scheme from 11th to 18th February. Nearly 400 school girls of Kendriya Vidyalaya of NTPC, Badarpur received training by Internationally Certified Instructors.

The Joint Commissioner of Police, Southern Range Devesh Srivastava felicitated these school girls with certificates for accomplishing these brave feet. The school girls were trained about self-defense moves and tackle during the morning session in the school premises.

"These instructors have been associated with NSG, several law

enforcement agencies, several corporate and under-privileged girls. During the week long training workshop, participants were trained in various combat and fighting skills," said Devesh Srivastava, Joint CP Southern Range.

"The participants were trained in 'Krav Maga' – an Israeli Military Combat System by 'Contact Combat India' – a professional self defense training studio," said SHO Badarpur Suhaib Farooqui.

Krav Mega is a military self-defense and fighting system developed for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) derived from the combination of boxing, wrestling, judo and karate, along with realistic fight training.

Participants were felicitated with Certificates after successful completion of training by Internationally Certified Instructors.
