40-year-old man charred to death inside car in Rohini

New Delhi: The charred body of a man was found inside a car in Rohini district's Pooth Kalan area on Monday, with police saying they are investigating the case from all angles.

Officials of Delhi Fire Services said that information about a car on fire was received around 1.40 am, after which two fire tenders from different stations were sent to Pooth Kalan area. Around 4 am, the fire was doused, after which a charred body was found inside.

The body was taken to a hospital and, after a few hours, the deceased man was identified as 40-year-old Surender, a resident of Begumpur area.

Cops claimed that Surender was with another driver Mukesh on Sunday night, who left for his home after some time. They are also investigating the exact cause of Surender's death and the cause of the fire. "The case is being probed from all angels. Once the investigation is completed, we can come out with the exact details," police said.
