4-year-old raped in Greater Noida

Greater Noida: A 22-year-old man has been arrested by police for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl of his neighbourhood in Rabupura area of Greater Noida.

Police said that the accused lured girl on pretext of playing a game with him and raped her. According to police, the arrested accused has been identified as Mohan, who works as a labour in nearby area.

As per complaint filed by victim's mother, the girl was playing at her terrace when the accused, who lived in neighbourhood, lured the girl and called her to his terrace.

The accused first touched at the private parts of her body and allegedly raped her.

The victim narrated her ordeal to the family, upon which an FIR was lodged against the accused.

"Based on the complaint received from victim's mother, a case under IPC section 376 (punishment for rape) and 3/4 Protection of Child Against Sexual Offences (POCSO) has been registered against the accused person. The girl has been sent for medical examination while the accused was sent to jail after producing before the court," said Vineet Jaiswal, Superintendent of Police (rural), Gautam Buddh Nagar.

In another similar incident, a three and a half years old girl was allegedly attempted rape by a 62-years-old man in sector 39 area of Noida earlier in January.

Police arrested the accused identified as Akbar Ali, a daily waged labour and a native of Model Town area in Kolkata who had come to visit his daughter's house.
