4 Africans rob Ola cab driver in Greater Noida

Greater Noida: Four African nationals allegedly robbed an OLA cab and dumped the driver near Ryan International School in Greater Noida on Monday night. An FIR in this connection was registered by the cab driver, Ankur Kumar, at Kasna police station.
According to the complaint given by the driver, the incident took place on Monday night when four African nationals hired an OLA cab to Greater Noida from Akshardham in New Delhi. On reaching at an isolated place on Noida-Greater Noida expressway, the miscreants thrashed the driver and also snatched the mobile phone and some money from him.
"Four men were sitting in the car, one at the front while three passengers at the back seat. The three sitting behind pulled me back and started beating me. I didn't understand what they were talking but they turned violent upon me, thrashed me and threw me out of the car in Greater Noida. It seems like they have hired the cab with the intentions to rob the car," said the driver.
The driver, an original resident of Meerut district, was taken hostage and driven around in the same cab for nearly an hour before they dumped him near the school.
"We have received a complaint by a cab driver that he and his car have been robbed by four African nationals on Monday night. We have registered a complaint and have begun our probe into the matter. This is for the first time we have found African nationals involved in car robbery and similar incidents. The CCTV cameras will also be searched to identify the miscreants. If needed, we will also seek help from the Delhi Police," said Jitendra Kumar, station house officer, Kasna police station.
There are thousands of African nationals living in the Delhi-NCR region who are mostly found involved in drugs peddling and prostitution but such a incident of robbery committed by these people came up for the first time.
