35-year-old man gunned down in his car in Gurugram's Sector-4 area

Gurugram: Incidents of bloody shootouts on the streets of Gurugram have not showed signs of stopping any soon, with a 35-year-old man being gunned down near Sector 37 on Saturday night.
Police said the victim, identified as Pravesh Bhatti, a resident of Sector-4 area, was returning home in his SUV, when some unidentified men travelling in another vehicle fired several rounds of bullets at his car.
One of the bullets pierced his temporal lobe, resulting in a fatal gunwound.
Bhatti died while he was being brought to a nearby hospital.
Gurugram Police have registered a case against unidentified men and have started an investigation.
According to the sources, the murder seems to be a case of personal rivalry between the family groupsnot on good terms with each other.
Reportedly, the group of people involved in Bhatti's murder had also murdered some of his relatives earlier.
They had mad an attempted on his live earlier as well.
"We have registered a formal complaint and have begun our investigations in the case. The victim's brother has provided us with information on certain people, about whom he feels suspicious. Our team will interrogate them. We hope to make a breakthrough soon and arrest the culprits," said Inspector Ravinder Kumar, spokesperson, Gurugram Police.
Incidents of shootout in the busy streets of Gurugram is not a new phenomenon.
In a worrying trend, such brazen incidents are not only reported from the outskirts of the city, but even in densely populated areas such as MG Road, Sohna Road, Jharsa Road and Sector-9A.
In the past, dreaded gangsters, their spouses, realtors and former journalists have been eliminated by their rivals by means of shootouts.
On February 11, two shootouts, which occurred in broad daylight, were reported from the city's Bilaspur and Badshahpur areas.
While the victim in the Bilaspur shootout, identified as Sanjay Gurjar, succumbed to gunshot wounds after being shot more than 17 times, the victim in the Badshahpur shootout survived the attack.
