3-yr-old girl raped by 40-yr-old neighbour

New Delhi: Even after six years of Nirbhaya case, it seems that nothing much has changed. A three-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by her neighbour in Bindapur area on Sunday. The investigating agency arrested the accused.

According to police, the girl lives with her family in Bindapur area. The accused identified as Ranjeet (40)found the kid alone and sexually assaulted her. The facts emerged that the accused resides in the same area and was beaten by the public after the incident. "The case is being investigated and the accused was arrested," police said. The DCW chief Swati Maliwal tweeted, "Today a 3-year-old girl has been brutally raped in Bindapur, Delhi. She is bleeding profusely & is v critical. Am on my way to meet her. How more can this city let down Nirbhaya that even on her 6th death anniversary children are raped! @narendramodi ji, for nth time, pl help!"

She further tweeted that "the girl has been sent to Operation Theater. The child has been raped brutally by a 40-year-old man! Neighbours caught him and beat him up severely. He is in Police Custody now. Father and mother are daily wage labourers. Please pray for the little child!"
