3 in critical state after Ggn clash over property dispute

Deadly clashes between two rival groups at Khatpuri village in Sohna on the outskirts of Gurugram resulted in 20 people, including women, getting seriously injured.
Three persons among the 20 injured are said to be in critical condition and are being treated in a government hospital.
The police had to resort to firing gunshots in the air in order to calm flaring temper among the group members who indulged in stone pelting along with hitting each with rods and sharp objects.
The violent clashes occurred after there was a heated argument between two people over the parking spot.
Already embroiled in a property dispute, the argument turned into a major fight as the other family members joined in.
On various occasion in the past, the two groups have repeatedly clashed with each other. There have been complaints over lack of police action in preventing the gruesome fight.
Several incidents of violent clashes have also been reported from villages within Gurugram.
Earlier on June 7, over hundred residents of Ramgarh village in Badshahpur area of the city clashed with the Gurugram Police that resulted in causing injuries to various police personnel and villagers.
Among the injured also includes the Station Head Officer (SHO) Rajendra Yadav who was hit by a brick on his forehead. The villagers targeted the policemen after they felt that they were trying to collude with the builder in constructing a boundary wall around a land that is under litigation.
In the recent past, many villagers in Gurugram have protested against not only the private builders but also public agencies like Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) for inadequate land compensation.
Various builders alleged that the main reason for delay in infrastructure work in new residential colonies in Gurugram is due to their legal fight with the villagers of the area.
