28-year-old woman shot dead by masked lady assailant in Noida

Noida: A 28- year-old woman was shot dead by another bike-borne woman assailant in Noida's sector 107. Police said that the incident took place in broad daylight and the woman criminal was accompanied by a male accomplice. The victim, identified as Kanchan, was from Raebareli district of Uttar Pradesh and was living in a rented accommodation in Salarpur area. The police have registered a case in this regard, but the identity of the bike-borne assailants is yet to be established.
Police said that the incident took place at around 11 am on Wednesday morning. A masked woman entered the victim's house and fired a bullet that pierced her collar bone. The lady intruder then fled away from the spot, on a motor cycle which was driven by her male companion.
According to an eyewitness, the lady assailant was masked and she fled away from the spot on a motor cycle, brandishing her gun. "Soon as we heard the sound of a bullet, we rushed to the spot. The lady was found lying in a pool of blood on the floor. We immediately informed police and took her to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead" said the eyewitness.
"As the incident was reported to police, a team rushed to the spot. The victim died before the police could reach. The body has been sent for the post- mortem and the family has been informed. We suspect a love angle or personal enmity behind the murder. We are trying to cover all the angles and uncover the real motive behind the murder," said Ajay Kumar Singh, Station House Officer (SHO), Sector 39 police station.
Local residents said that the Kanchan came to live here just a month ago. They also said that she had left her husband and was living here with a male friend who works as a cook in a private company. Kanchan was alone at the time of the attack. Now, police will have to find out the whereabouts of the lady killer and her accomplice who helped in executing the gruesome crime.
