26-yr-old shot dead by roommate in Gurugram

GURUGRAM: A 26-year old man was shot dead in Khandsa area of Gurugram in the wee hours of Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Arvind.

According to police, it is believed that Arvind was murdered by another tenant Gaurav, who is absconding. Based on their interaction with people living in the area, police think a major fight between the two led to the murder.

Arvind belonged to Uttar Pradesh and was living as a tenant in Gurugram with his wife. His wife had gone back to her house, after which Gaurav moved in with Arvind. On Saturday night, an argument erupted between the two, which culminated in Arvind being shot.

Police has filed an FIR under Section 302 (murder) of IPC and the Illegal Arms act. "We will soon get hold of the culprit and get to know the motive behind the killing," said a senior police official from Gurugram.
