22-yr-old bludgeoned to death

New Delhi: Talking with friend's wife on phone proved costly for a 22-year-old man who was brutally murdered by his friend in the intervening night of 26 and 27 December in Uttamnagar of Dwarka.
The deceased, identified as Gaurav, was bludgeoned to death (by using bricks) by accused who were friends and stayed nearby.
Gaurav, who belonged to Etah in UP, worked as an electrician in the area and had recently befriended a local vendor, Prabhakar, who is originally from Banka in Bihar. Sources in the police say recently the deceased
started talking to the wife accused Prabhakar and this irked him. Finally, he hatched a deadly plan to eliminate Gaurav.
In the intervening night of 26 and 27 December, Prabhakar got his chance when he attacked Gaurav inside the Grand Kishan Garden Vatika in Dwarka where both of them use to stay in a room.
"Gaurav's head has been severely smashed by a brick. Prabhakar, who suspected Gaurav of having an affair with his wife, is the prime suspect. He killed Gaurav inside the room of the Vatika and absconded," said a senior police officer.
It was also noticed that the mobile and purse of the victim were also missing. Cops suspected that the killer tried to give it a colour of loot and misguide the investigators.
When the locals reached the Vatika early morning on Wednesday, they found a blood soaked body of Gaurav. Police was alerted immediately and started investigation.
