20-year-old youth shot dead by assailants in Brahmapuri
New Delhi: A 20-year-old youth was shot dead when he was attacked by an armed assailants in Brahamapuri area of north east Delhi.
Police sources claimed they have launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
According to police, the deceased , identified as Aakash, was living with his relative Umesh who was involved in a property business.
The incident was reported from Brahamapuri area when the friends of the deceased found him lying in a pool of blood.
He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
"Late night on Tuesday deceased with his friend was sitting on Umesh's office when Aakash went outside for lunch. He did not return for a long time after which his friends started a search which ended in few minutes after they saw him lying in a pool of blood," said a police official.
During their search, they saw a crowd had gathered near the house of the deceased.
Seeing people, they ran towards them where the deceased was found lying and drenched in blood.
Police sources claimed that the deceased was shot dead and they have started their investigation in the case.
"We are probing the case from all angles and one of them is personal enmity," said a police official.
Police are also scanning CCTV footages of the area to get the clue.
Questioning was also going on to know whether the victim had any fights or enmity.
"We have launched a manhunt and soon the accused will be arrested," police said.
A case under appropriate sections of Indian Panel Code was registered.
