2 youths killed after bike crashes into roadside tree

Kolkata: Two youths were killed in a road accident after they hit a roadside tree while riding a bike.

According to police, at around 1 am on Tuesday, two youths identified as Raja Bhattacharya (23) and Aniket Goswami (21) were riding a bike at high speed. Near gate number 2 of Turf View on AJC Bose Road, Bhattacharya lost control over the bike and hit a tree beside the road.

Both the riders immediately fell on the road. Police rushed them to SSKM Hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead.

Sleuths informed that none of them were wearing helmets while riding the bike. Some eyewitnesses of the accident alleged that the bike was moving in a rash and negligent manner.
