2 snatchers held in West Delhi

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Thursday claimed that they have arrested two persons from West Delhi area. The criminals, in order to earn easy money, indulged in criminal activities such as snatching. The accused were identified as Deepak (30) and Talib (22). On receiving information, that two persons would come at the bus stop in front of ESI Hospital Ring Road to sell off stolen mobile phones, a trap was laid and accused persons were nabbed. On their cursory search, a total of six smart mobile phones, which were snatched or stolen in different cases, recovered from their possession. DCP (West) Monika Bharadwaj stated the accused are close friends and fell into bad company. "Accused Deepak started consuming drugs and in order to earn easy money, he started committing thefts," said DCP. She further added that accused Talib came to Delhi two years ago in search of work. Initially, he worked as a driver at Gramin Sewa. Meanwhile, he befriended with accused Deepak and also became a drug-addict.
