2 persons killed in separate incidents of stabbing

NEW DELHI: Two murders were reported from Nangloi in Outer Delhi within a span of 24 hours.

In the first case, the deceased, identified as Deepak, a resident of Kavita Colony, was brutally stabbed to death by unidentified people in the same locality.

Police said, the preliminary investigation has revealed that he was attacked after a dispute erupted between him and his rivals.

The assailants stabbed him several times on his thigh and fled from the spot.

A police team reached the spot on a PCR call and brought him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought death due to excessive bleeding. Deceased Deepak had a criminal past.

In another incident, a 45-year-old married woman was stabbed to death by a man after she refused a marriage proposal in Nangloi area on Wednesday night.

Deceased Madhuri (45) used to work with the accused Shyam Yadav at a shoe factory in the same locality. He was arrested by the police on Thursday from Shiv Bux Park Nangloi where he was planning to flee his native place Madhubani, Bihar.

"When he became desperate for the woman, she left the job from that shoe factory. Thereafter, he started to follow her and wanted to teach her a lesson and on finding an opportunity, he murdered the woman. We have recovered the knife used in the crime," a senior police officer said.
