2 held for stealing Rs 37 lakh from gas agency manager

Gurugram: Two weeks after three men looted a gas agency manager of Rs 37 lakh, Gurugram police have arrested two men for the crime, including its 'mastermind' identified as Somveer.

Somveer has five other cases registered against him in Delhi, Gurugram and Jhajjar. According to the police, Somveer worked in the gas agency for some time to know about the logistics of the organisation. After coming to know about the processes, he along with his men planned about the date and location where they would target the gas agency manager. They chose Monday, November 26, the day when the banks were opening after three days of vacation.

In a brazen incident, the three snatchers were able to successfully loot Rs 37 lakh from a gas agency manager. The incident occurred near Sector-40 when the victim was going to the bank to deposit the money.

Knowing that the manager was carrying such a large sum of money, the three masked men reportedly stopped the vehicle and then carried out the crime. According to the law enforcement officials, the three men worked in sync while carrying out the crime.
