17-year-old boy dies after being hit by train in Seelampur

New Delhi: The body of a 17-year-old boy was found lying on the railway tracks at the Welcome railway station in Seelampur.
Police said that they have investigated the case from all possible angles, including the possibility of taking "selfie" on the railway tracks but they did not found anything.
The deceased, identified as Arbaaz Khan, was a resident of Lohamandi area of Seelampur. His house was few kilometers away from the railway tracks. The incident took place on Monday afternoon when he was crossing the railway tracks. The victim had left the house around 11 am.
Police sources claimed that the family members came to know about the incident from his friends after which a PCR call was made and the victim was rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
During the investigation of the spot, police did not find any eyewitness on the spot.
The deceased was a student and his friend had called him on the railway tracks. He was found to be carrying his phone and his earphones plugged in, the police said. They are probing whether he was listening to music while crossing the railway tracks.
Police are also probing whether he was clicking a selfie when he was hit by the train.
"It appears to be a case of accident. We are probing it from all angles so far we have not found such angles coming out," said a senior police officer, without divulging further details.
Family of the deceased also suspect some foul play in the incident.
