16-yr-old gang-raped and then brutally murdered

Gurugram: In a gruesome incident reported from the Bilaspur area in the outskirts of Gurugram, a 16-year-old was allegedly gang raped and then brutally murdered by hitting with a brick multiple times. The incident came to light on Monday evening when the deceased's sister saw the murderers wrapping her body in a plastic bag so that they can dump the body in the nearby forests. She immediately raised an alarm by screaming loudly that alerted the villagers who then surrounded the criminals. While two of them were able to escape from the scene of the crime, 23-yer-old Gajendra was successfully caught and handed over to police. Hailing from the Rajsamand area of Rajasthan, Gajendra was a truck driver.
According to the police, Gajendra and his friends who knew the minor took advantage of the fact that the 16-year-old was alone in the house. Police officials said that at the time of the crime, the criminals were also drunk. The police meanwhile have sent the body of the minor for post mortem. The incident comes at a time when the Haryana government recently strengthened its law against the rapists and even molesters.
