16-yr-old boy drowns in river Yamuna

New Delhi: In a bizarre incident, a 16-year-old boy searching for his money which had fallen off from his pocket near the Yamuna river accidentally slipped into it and drowned.
The officer said the child could not be rescued yet even after rescue operations which are still on.
The officer added the boy has been identified as Mohammed Shadat, a resident of Batla house in the south-east district.
The incident was reported at 3:15 pm on Monday and immediately a local who saw the boy slipping into the river made a call to the police.
