16-year-old boy apprehended for raping 10-yr-old

Gurugram: Gurugram was shamed again as a complaint was registered against a 16-year-old boy for raping a 10-year-old girl in his neighbourhood.

The incident came to light after the rape survivor showed signs of discomfort in her school in Gwal Pahari, which led to her teacher and the Principal probing the matter. After finding out that she was sexually assaulted, a complaint was registered at DLF Phase-1 police station on Thursday.

The accused juvenile was detained and sent to a juvenile observation home in Faridabad after registering a case under Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. This is the third case of sexual assault against minors reported in Gurugram in less than a week.
