12-yr-old dies in Ggn hospital, kin cry negligence

GURUGRAM: Admitted to a private hospital for medical treatment, 12-year-old Prateek died under mysterious circumstances on Wednesday morning.
The deceased's family have alleged negligence by the medical staff as the cause of Prateek's death. They have also complained that the hospital staff tried to dupe them by fudging the bill.
Complaining of stomach ache along with excessive vomiting, Prateek was admitted him to Park Hospital on Tuesday evening.
During treatment, he was reportedly injected with anaesthesia. Later, he could not be brought back to awareness and ultimately died.
After being told that Prateek succumbed during treatment, a heated argument took place between the family members and the hospital staff.
The situation was brought to control after police innerved. With the real cause of death not yet ascertained, police have not filed an FIR in the matter.
In their defence, staff of Park Hospital denied any wrongdoing and demanded for the post-mortem details to come out so that the truth in the case could come out.
The shocking case has come to light at a time when there is outrage over the whopping medical fee charged by Fortis Hospital for the treatment of seven-year-old Adya Singh, who was suffering from dengue shock syndrome.
After 15 days of treatment at the hospital, Adya passed away.
In another case on late Sunday, a four-year-old girl was crushed to death by Mercedes.
