11-yr-old beaten up by school mates, dies

A 11-year-old boy in Rohini died on Saturday night after he complained of feeling uneasy and an alleged beating by his school mates.
The boy had told his parents that he was involved in a fight with his class mates over a trivial issue after which he had to be taken to multiple hospitals before he died in Safdarjung Hospital.
The police have so far not registered a case and are waiting for the post-mortem report to shed more light on the case.
The deceased has been identified as Vishal, a class V student in a local school in Rohini.
He lived with his parents and two younger siblings.
The incident took place on Friday when the boy was allegedly involved in a fight with two-three of his batchmates. He returned home in the evening and did not talk about the fight with his parents.
The next morning, however, the boy found it difficult to go to his school as he felt a sharp pain in his stomach, police said.
His parents have told the police that the boy was visibly frightened to go back to school and instead wanted to go to the hospital. His parents finally relented and took him to Ambedkar Hospital.
The hospital authorities had later referred the boy to Safdarjung Hospital where he passed away.
The parents informed the police the next day and alleged that their son was killed by his batch mates. The police said the boy did not have any external injuries to his body and will look into the case from all angles.
"The parents have made such claims and after the request from the father, we asked the hospital authorities to constitute a medical board to conduct the post-mortem," said a senior police official privy to the investigation.
