1 killed after being enmeshed in high-tension wire

Ghaziabad: A nine-year-old boy died while his 11-year-old cousin brother was critically injured after they were trapped by a high-tension wire which was passing overhead their house in Vijay Nagar area of Ghaziabad on Thursday morning. Apart from these, a woman and one years old daughter also suffered burn injuries in the incident.

According to police, the deceased have been identified as Dipesh while Kunal was critically injured and is battling for his life at GTB hospital in Delhi.

"The incident occurred around 8 am when the duo of victims had gone to terrace to hang wet clothes. Suddenly a fault occurred at high-tension wire passing over their house and both of them were trapped in it. Family members rushed them to nearby hospital from where Dipesh was declared dead while his cousin brother was referred to higher medical Center" a senior cop said.
