Delhi Transco Limited gets India Power award

Delhi Transco Limited (DTL), an undertaking of Delhi government for transmission of power has won India Power Award. The award has been given by Council of Power Utilities for over all performance in transmission of power. The award was given by  MR Srinivasan, member, Atomic Energy Commission, Government of India to Shakti Sinha, CMD, DTL, at a function held on Thursday at India Habitat Centre. Since its inception in 2002, Delhi Transco has made significant growth on all the parameters and is considered one of the best run state power transmission utilities in India. Delhi Transco has successfully transmitted the highest ever demand of 5,642 MW in July 2012 and was able to restore power within minimum time frame during the July 2012 grid failures. On receiving the award, Sinha expressed happiness and said that the company will continue to serve the citizens and create new records in the coming years.
